Pond refurbishment

Is that pond in the garden looking a little tired, leaky or just old and outdated? All is not lost, as we can usually revive it. Pond refurbishments are our specialty. Revitalise that area of the garden with the sound of water running again, or plants and fish thriving in clear water.


This was an existing concrete pond that greeted the owners and their guests at the front door. The pond was leaking and had no filtration. The pond was sealed and a filter unit and UV were installed.

We get to see a lot of water garden concepts. Allow us to create something for you that will blend into the immediate area of the pond, or style of the garden or house. Having a pond does not mean being covered in sludge and muck every weekend cleaning filters, unblocking pumps, etc. We can install new equipment that is maintenance friendly.


New owners had taken ownership of a very old pond that held nothing but leaves, sticks and sludge. The pond was rendered smooth and waterproofed. A quality filter unit and UV were installed A new watercourse was added that dropped into the main pond.

This client requested that we construct a small pond and incorporate an old iron fountain and small girl, using basalt stone from the property.

This is a native pond located on a holiday house in the Blue Mountains. It has great views towards Sydney in the distance. Local basalt stone was used for the walls, and basalt rubble used in the watercourse. This pond also stores 60,000 litres of rainwater collected from the roof.

We consider ourselves a "one stop shop" for all trades associated with pond construction. We use the same trades on every job, whether they are electricians, plumbers, carpenters or bricklayers.


This stone pond is the centerpiece in what will one day be a Japanese style garden. The granite lantern at night adds a soft hue of light to the area. The trees will provide partial shade, as well as the groundcovers and shrubs that will add colour to the mound of excavation dirt.

We can also help with additional products to enhance the area surrounding the pond: timber decking, seating, stonework, lighting, pathways and garden edging, etc.

Is your pond not living up to its potential? Are you finding maintenance too regular, as well as a messy and time consuming task? Chances are that you have equipment that is not up to the job.

This 80,000 litre pond was struggling with water quality, as it was under filtered. Leaves were also a big issue, as it is surrounded by large deciduous trees. Large skimmers were placed in the pond to collect floating debris before it sank, the filter/UV was upgraded, and submersible pumps were also added for directing pollutants to a filter pick up or an area where they could be vacuumed out of the pond.

We only install equipment of the highest quality, with longer guarantees and ease of maintenance.


This large pond is crossed via a sandstone bridge that leads to the front door of the house. The water was bright green, as the equipment on the pond was not able to cope with the direct sunlight or heavy fish load. Once the filter/UV system was upgraded and a circulating pump added as well, the pond cleared up almost over night.

Pond waterproofing

Leaking pond? Allow us to identify the leak, and repair it using the best possible material option for your pond. We use paint on epoxy, as well as EPDM liners.


This pond is located on a client's weekender in the Blue Mountains. The pond had never been waterproofed, and was losing precious water. We decided against using a liner, as the pond is also out of level, and used paint on flexible membrane instead. A filter/UV system was also installed out of sight at the same time.

If you have livestock in your pond, we temporarily store plants and fish onsite using large aerated poly tanks. If space is an issue, we can also store livestock offsite.
